Northern Lights from the Rivers

Autumn is actually one of the best times to see the northern lights and it is a stunning and safe time of year for running the arctic rivers. This week is focused on lake and river paddling and incorporates a couple of overnight wilderness cabin stops along two different arctic rivers.

This is a great way of making the most of the blazing fall-coloured autumnal trails, the frosty mornings and sparkling lakes. Each night as darkness falls, wonder at the beauty of the landscape as it is bathed in gold. And then -hopefully- sit back and enjoy the majestic nocturnal display in the middle of the arctic wilderness.
