Exclusive Customised Dogsled Tours

We offer the chance to book exclusive and fully customisable tours in the Spring.

We have also had the pleasure of taking less able clients on customised inclusive tours.

General Information

Programme Duration: 2-8 days
Number of Days of Mushing:2-5 days
Availability:
These exclusive safaris are primarily available in late March and April but may be possible earlier in the season subject to availability of dogs and guides. Please contact us directly for more details.

Since each multiday tour normally runs with a minimum of 6 people we are happy to take from 1 to 5 people in a private group as an exclusive group so long as the cost of the non-used 'slots' are covered. AKA you can be anything from 1 to 5 people booking together and if you pay for 6 people, we will not add additional people to your booking.

Accommodation & Board

We generally encourage people to spend at least one night on the farm prior to the tour, so as to maximise their farm experience, and then we can either choose a route that maintains privacy and a wilderness feeling or we can choose a route that allows you to spend the nights in a cabin with electricity, running water and wifi. It is totally up to you.

Transfers to and from Enontekiö airport are also included and we can help to arrange the logistics of your transfers from Kittilä airport for an additional fee.

Price: Between January and March, a private tour will cost the same as a standard tour (in other words you will need to cover the price that a standard 6 people would otherwise pay for your tour).

Most years, (depending on when Easter falls), there is a point in April when we become less busy and at that time, the minimum booking price for a private tour drops to the equivalent of what 4 people would pay. At that point, customised packages will be offered customised prices, (x 4).

Price includes:

We generally mush for 30—40km per day. The price includes whatever accommodation we have agreed upon, a personal dog team; kit and clothing suitable for the arctic; expert guiding through the tour; a guided farm visit and sled-driving training session; briefings on arctic safety and survival; a personal mentor during the evening(s) spent on the farm's homestead when there is the chance to take part in a wide range of farm and dog-related activities (walking oldies, playing with pups, brushing dogs, carrying out medically-related tasks or simply feeding the farm of c. 170 dogs).
